The Biggest Loser

So I know it's been forever since I've updated this site... BUT... here is the BIG NEWS...
I WAS THE BIGGEST LOSER!
That's right, 14lbs in 14 wks. and now I am enjoying cookies again, so I've probably gained a good 7lbs back.

House Items

This might be cheating a little, since we have a lot of house items, but they really are things we want to accomplish in 2008!

1. Finish Kitchen Cabinets - still need some doors, but done in my book
2. Hang light in dining room
3. Finish Trim
4. Finish Living Room - mantle/beams/lighting/ceiling
5. Create upstairs bathroom
6. Finish guest bedroom
7. Paneling on the walls
8. Hang blinds
9. Build 2 chest of drawers
10. Build a coffee table - Liam LOVES it.
11. Sweep everyday (or shave the dogs) - not everyday, but close to it!
12. Storage in the basement... this might be on the 2009 list -
13. Light in the living room - we bought it, but just not hung
14. Buy a rug for the living room
15. Build railing for upstairs loft - working on this right now.
16. Be able to move the computer desk to the loft

Money

17. Create and stay on a budget - okay.. staying on it is a little give and take.. but we are getting there.
18. Stop wishing we had more money and learn to live on what we do have. - off and on we do this. better than we were.
19. Listen to Dave Ramsey
20. Buy one Christmas present for a family member every month - we were NOT good at this!
21. Stop buying things just because they are on sale - oh, i think I am even worse.
22. Pay attention to the 401K - with the stock market, it was better i didn't look at it.
23. Turn lights off when you leave the room - i got better, pol did not.
24. Start a toy box company - nope and with the new law of Feb 10th, probably won't do that at all.
25. Sell old bridesmaids dresses on ebay - still in a bag in the basement
26. Carpool - not at all. but luckily pol's work moved closer to home!
27. Be able to work part-time - Michelle's goal. ahh.. still a goal for 2009
28. Create cheap date night's list - sort of did this... we just didn't do many of the dates... haha.
29. Do our taxes before the night they are due - YAY!

Spirit, Mind, and Body

Spirit:
30. Read through the entire Bible - not so much. I really need to make it through the old testament sometime!
31. Pray first, worry never - okay... so I am bolding.. though I still worry before praying. But we have gotten so much better. Pol is really great about making us stop and pray about everything.
32. Join a community group
33. Do a community outreach - we didn't do great about this. I did do a few outreach type of things, but we really didn't get involved with a group. I am thinking we should do Habitat 2009!

Mind:
34. Watch less TV - only be hooked on 3 shows - well with no cable it's really not that hard. We turned off the TV a lot more. (does it count that we turned it off for the Wii?)
35. Read three classics - nope. i did read, but no classics
36. Paint one painting - we didn't even start one.
37. Make an educated vote in November 2008
38. Send more snail mail to friends and family - umm... i can't remember doing this.
39. Collect fun postcards to make art with
40. Pol would like to see how his computer game ends
41. Plan ahead
42. Collect old family photos
43. More pictures of Liam
44. Fill out Liam's scrapbook - half way through.
45. Re-learn to knit, knit a hat for Liam - did not pick up my needles!
46. Widdle something
47. Carve pumpkins- dang it... we didn't do this!
48. Go to the zoo - we loved doing this!!
49. Make more home videos - we love videos.

Body:
50. Drink less cider.. okay.. let's not be crazy here...
51. Drink more milk
52. Drink less Coffee and Coke
53. Go to the dentist
54. Do that ear wax candle thing
55. Stretch / be active everyday
56. Do not fall alseep on the couch before 10pm
57. Take a cooking class
58. Lose 10 lbs
59. Take vitamins daily
60. Drink 4 16oz of water daily
61. Create a weekly meal planner - YES! I do this and I LOVE it!
62. Eat more fruits and veggies
